The ultrasonic generators of the AGM Pro series are designed for installation in automation lines, special machines and automatic welding systems. In these systems, they perform demanding welding and separation tasks such as ultrasonic welding of thermoplastic plastics and molded parts, as well as ultrasonic cutting of nonwoven fabrics and technical textile products or food products such as cheese, wraps or pies. Thanks to their narrow width, they can be installed in control cabinets without taking up much space. In addition, they are equipped with an optimized cooling system.
COMMUNICATION AND INTEGRATION
Commissioning is carried out via the system’s PLC. Thanks to certified interchangeable modules for Fieldbus interfaces, the generator can be seamlessly integrated into existing systems. Communication modules are available for PROFIBUS, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT and CANopen Fieldbuses. In addition, the ultrasonic generators can be integrated and configured via RS485 and digital and analog inputs and outputs.
OPERATING CONCEPT
In addition to the PLC, you can also use our ProConnect Web application to enter and change parameters or export and analyze data. Real-time status monitoring is also carried out through these two options.
AGM Pro is generally used in the following areas:
Ultrasonic welding, cutting, punching, riveting and edge forming of plastics
Embedding and countersinking of metal parts using ultrasonic technology
Ultrasonic sealing of packaging
Ultrasonic welding, cutting or separation cutting of technical textiles and nonwoven fabrics
Ultrasonic cutting of food products, textiles, foils and rubber
3.5″ color touchscreen
In addition to the ProConnect Web application and PLC, ultrasonic generators can also be operated via a 3.5″ color touchscreen. The start window always displays the current values and the status of the device.
ProConnect Web application
With the ProConnect Web application, you can easily operate the AGM Pro from a computer or mobile terminal device. This allows you to always keep track of the device status, current parameters and settings. During the welding process, current values are displayed as a diagram. This makes the values immediately available for analysis. The ProConnect Web application also offers a remote maintenance option.
Amplitude control
The amplitude can be adjusted between 15% and 100% in 1% increments to achieve a better welding result.
Communication interfaces
AGM Pro generators can be seamlessly integrated into existing systems via Fieldbus interfaces. Applicable and certified* communication protocols: PROFINET*, PROFIBUS, DeviceNet*, EtherNet/IP*, EtherCAT* and CANopen*. In addition, communication with ultrasonic generators can be established via RS485 and digital and analog inputs and outputs.
User management
Regardless of whether the generators are operated via the touchscreen or the ProConnect Web application, multi-level user management provides greater security. This allows a technician to have read and write permissions, while a user has read-only access. The password can be changed by technicians at any time.
Maximum repeatability
You can create and save eight parameter data sets, thereby increasing the repeatability of your processes.
Selectable from 6 welding modes
Thanks to the welding modes, the correct setting for perfect welding can be found for every application. The following welding modes can be selected in the AGM Pro series:
Time mode
Energy mode
Time and energy mode
Time or energy mode
Contact shutdown
Continuous mode
